Teva UK has announced the launch of cyclizine tablets, a new generic therapy for nausea and other similar conditions.
The new product is available immediately under the Teva 360 livery in packs of 100 and can be used as a treatment for nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness and vertigo.
It is an off-label equivalent of the branded therapy Valoid, which is manufactured by Amdipharm and is also distributed as ampoules that are used postoperatively following administration of general anaesthetics and opioids.
Kim Innes, commercial director at Teva, said: "We are pleased to be able to add cyclizine tablets to our portfolio, which comprises over 700 medicines and is the widest of our competitors in the UK."
The launch solidifies Teva's position as one of the UK's leading providers of generic medicines, with its British operations spanning four main offices and more than 75 years of history.
Its head office is located in West Yorkshire, with further sites situated in Eastbourne, Harlow and Runcorn
